How to use Noctis.

Step-by-step for everything you can do here: connecting a wallet, launching a token, joining a private DarkVeil phase, staking, and taking part in community governance.

Getting started

Connect the wallet(s) you need before you launch, buy, or vote.

Connect your Cardano wallet All chains

A Cardano wallet is required for every action on Noctis: it's your identity, pays fees, and receives your tokens.

  1. Install a CIP-30 wallet such as Eternl or Lace and set it to the correct network (Preprod for testing, Mainnet for live launches).
  2. Fund it with a little ADA for transaction fees.
  3. Click Connect Wallet in the top navigation and approve the connection request in your wallet.
  4. Your address and balance appear once connected. You can disconnect any time from the same menu.

Noctis never asks for your seed phrase. You approve and sign every transaction yourself, in your own wallet.

Connect a Midnight wallet DarkVeil launches

A Midnight wallet is needed for the private DarkVeil phase, which every launch has unless its creator chose Basic, and for a Midnight Launch throughout.

  1. Install a Midnight-compatible wallet extension and set it to the same network as your Cardano wallet.
  2. On a DarkVeil or Midnight Launch page, choose Connect Midnight wallet and approve the request.
  3. You don't need to hold DUST: Noctis covers all Midnight transaction gas for DarkVeil registration and buying.

Your Cardano wallet is still used for DarkVeil’s eligibility checks, even on a Midnight Launch.

Launching a token

For creators: set up a launch, then manage your escrow and vesting after it goes live.

Choose your chain Creators

Every launch settles on one chain, chosen at creation and permanent afterwards. DarkVeil, the private buying phase, is included whichever you pick, unless you choose Basic.

  • Midnight Launch ($10): everything runs privately on Midnight, priced in NIGHT. No part of the launch is public, from creation through to LP. Coming soon.
  • Cardano Launch ($10): a Cardano native token priced in ADA. DarkVeil's private 24-hour phase runs on Midnight before the public curve opens, with front-run protection and a ZK Fair Launch Certificate.
  • Cardano Launch – Basic ($10): the same Cardano curve without DarkVeil. Buying is public from the first order, and the curve opens at a random moment between 1 and 24 hours after you pay, decided by Cardano block hashes, so nobody knows when, including you and us. Orders placed before it opens get a random place in the opening round. No buyer screening and no Fair Launch Certificate.
  • Solana ($10): the same private phase, settling to an SPL token. Coming later.

Fees are in USD, payable in ADA or NIGHT at the market rate. Every launch includes a 1-year LP lock and CTO governance protection; creator vesting and a staking pool are optional.

Create a launch (the wizard) Creators

The Create wizard walks you through five steps. Have your token name, ticker, logo, and social links ready.

  1. Wallet verification: connect a CIP-30 wallet. Creators have no eligibility requirements of their own, so this only confirms the wallet you will sign with.
  2. Creator profile: display name, short bio, and your project's channels. Twitter/X and Discord are the two verified for silence detection.
  3. Project details: token name, ticker, description, category, logo, banner, and an optional tokenomics document.
  4. Chain & configuration: the settlement chain (see the guide above — permanent once live), the DarkVeil date and allocation (none on Basic), your creator allocation (up to 10%), a vesting period you must actively choose (up to 365 days; the minimum depends on the allocation), and an optional staking pool and its runway. There is no DEX to choose: every Cardano launch’s liquidity starts on Noctis Swap.
  5. Review & pay: confirm everything, pay the launch fee, and sign the mint. Your launch parameters are permanent once signed.

Total supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 tokens. The LP reserve is sized at mint so the pool opens at 1.1× the graduation price whatever you allocate; it comes to between roughly 15% and 24% of supply.

Set creator allocation & vesting Creators

Your own tokens are held back and released in one go at the end of the period you choose, so buyers can trust you can't dump on them.

  1. Choose a creator allocation up to 10% of supply (5-8% is recommended), or none.
  2. Choose a vesting period up to 365 days. There is no default; you must pick one. A bigger allocation means a longer minimum: 1–4% at least 90 days, 5–8% at least 180 days, 9–10% the full 365.
  3. The period starts at graduation. Nothing releases until it has run in full; then your whole allocation unlocks at once.

A ZK proof published at DarkVeil open confirms you held 0 tokens at the start: proof you didn't buy your own launch.

Enable a staking rewards pool Creators

An optional pool that rewards holders who stake your token. Turn it on during launch creation.

  1. Toggle the staking pool on and allocate a fixed 25% of supply to it.
  2. Choose a pool runway between 3 and 5 years: rewards emit linearly each day over that period.
  3. The pool is funded automatically at graduation, in the same transaction that seeds the LP.
  4. Anyone can top the pool up at any time later, you included; a top-up extends the runway rather than speeding up payouts.
  5. Once funded, the pool belongs to its stakers. Nobody, you and Noctis included, can take anything out of it but stakers' own stakes and rewards, and it never closes.

If you don't enable staking, that 25% simply stays in the public bonding curve instead.

Claim your creator fees Creators

You earn from every trade, but through two separate streams, and they behave differently. Don't confuse them:

  • Bonding Curve Escrow — while the curve is live. You accrue 0.5% of every bonding-curve trade. Claim it from your creator dashboard whenever you like: the whole balance comes to your wallet, and the claim costs a flat 5 ADA platform charge plus the network fee, paid from that wallet. This stream closes permanently at graduation: the balance is fixed from that moment and never grows again.
  • Post-graduation trading — ongoing. Graduation seeds the pool with the LP reserve plus the whole net-of-fee raise, opening it at 1.1× the graduation price, then locks that LP for 365 days. Trading continues on Noctis Swap, and every trade pays a pool fee of 1.2%: 1.0% to you, 0.1% platform, and 0.1% compounded back into the pool. Your share doubles at graduation, and it keeps paying for as long as the token trades and its liquidity stays on Noctis Swap.

The platform's share of the trade fee drops from 1.0% to 0.1% at graduation, while yours doubles. The remaining 0.1% is not a fee anyone collects: it compounds straight into the pool, so the liquidity behind your token deepens with every trade. A swap on Noctis Swap also pays the platform a separate fee of 0.2% of its ADA side; the trader pays it, and it never comes out of your royalty.

Your 1.0% is a royalty slot in the pool’s own datum, keyed to your wallet: every trade feeds it, and only your signature moves it. Claiming it never touches the locked LP, and the liquidity itself cannot be pulled — there is no withdraw function, by design. The 0.1% left in the pool is not a payout to anyone; it stays in the reserves, so the position held in escrow grows with volume.

The royalty is guaranteed only on Noctis Swap, and only while the liquidity is there. After the 1-year lock the liquidity may move once, to Minswap or WingRiders. Those DEXes have no royalty slot, so if it moves, the royalty ends for good. A launch that never moves keeps earning it.

If a community takeover (CTO) vote passes, both streams move to the community wallet: the curve escrow pays it instead of you, and the pool’s royalty key is rewritten to it, so later trades feed it directly. See the CTO guide below.

Claim your vested tokens Creators

Your allocation unlocks all at once, on the last day of the vesting period you chose, counted from graduation.

  1. Open your creator dashboard for the launch.
  2. Until the period ends, nothing is claimable and the dashboard shows the unlock date. From that day, the whole allocation is.
  3. Click Claim vested and sign: the unlocked tokens are sent to your wallet.

Tokens you have claimed are yours to keep. Anything still in the vesting contract can be frozen and redirected to the community if a CTO vote passes.

Buying & participating

For buyers: join a launch publicly or privately, then stake for rewards.

Buy on the bonding curve All chains

Buying pushes the price up along the curve: the earlier you buy, the lower your price.

  1. Open a live launch from the Launches page.
  2. Enter how much you want to spend (ADA on a Cardano launch, NIGHT on a Midnight one). The widget shows the tokens you'll receive and your resulting price.
  3. Click Buy and sign. A 1.5% trade fee applies (0.5% creator, 1.0% platform), and a buy also pays 0.5 ADA to the batcher that fills it.

No wallet can exceed 5% of supply across a whole launch. The graph reaches graduation only at 100% sell-through. There's no early graduation.

Register for DarkVeil DarkVeil launches

DarkVeil is a private 24-hour buying window before the public curve opens. Registration is open for 48 hours and freezes 2 hours before buying starts.

To be eligible, all of the following must be true:

  • Your Cardano wallet holds at least $50 worth of ADA, counted across every address it uses, when you apply. Nothing is locked or charged.
  • You are not the creator, and share no wallet link with them.

The registration panel also shows when your Cardano wallet was first used. That is for your information: it does not decide whether you can register.

  1. Open the launch's DarkVeil page during the registration window and connect both wallets.
  2. Approve the eligibility checks and register. Registering is free.
  3. You're registered. Your per-wallet allocation is set when registration freezes, split evenly across all registrants.

A launch needs a minimum number of registrants. If it falls short, DarkVeil fails and the launch goes straight on to its public sale.

Buy privately during DarkVeil DarkVeil launches

During the 24-hour window you buy at a single flat price, completely hidden from other users and bots.

  1. Open the DarkVeil page once buying is live and connect your Midnight wallet.
  2. Choose how much of your allocation to buy, up to your per-wallet limit, at the flat DarkVeil price.
  3. Confirm: your purchase is committed privately on Midnight. Nobody can see your amount or identity.

You pay only for what you buy, and any part of your allocation you leave goes on sale on the public curve. If fewer than half the registered wallets buy, DarkVeil fails and the launch goes on to its public sale.

Claim your DarkVeil allocation Cardano launch only

On a Cardano launch the tokens you bought privately are delivered on Cardano after DarkVeil closes. You claim them yourself, revealing only your own amount.

  1. After DarkVeil closes and the allocation is anchored on Cardano, open the launch and choose Claim DarkVeil tokens.
  2. Pay the flat DarkVeil price in ADA and sign.
  3. Your tokens arrive in your Cardano wallet. The claim makes your own wallet and amount public; it reveals nobody else’s allocation.

Your DarkVeil holding counts toward the same 5% cap as any public buying you do.

On a Midnight launch there is no separate claim. Revealing your commitment settles the purchase on Midnight there and then, so this step does not apply.

Stake tokens & claim rewards All chains

If a launch has a staking pool, you can stake your tokens to earn a daily share of rewards.

  1. On the launch page, open the staking panel and enter an amount to stake, then sign.
  2. Your position starts earning immediately, and accrues continuously rather than in daily steps — half a day staked earns half a day’s rewards.
  3. Each day's rewards are split among all stakers in proportion to their staked balance.
  4. Claim accrued rewards from your token profile any time. Taking rewards out costs a flat 5 ADA on a Cardano launch ($1 of NIGHT on a Midnight one). The charge is on the rewards, not the action: staking itself costs nothing, and a position that earned nothing pays nothing.
  5. Unstake once your position has been held for the launch's minimum, up to 7 days. Adding to a position restarts that clock; claiming does not. Nobody but you can move your stake, and a creator cannot lock it for longer than the platform's ceiling.
Understand the 5% wallet cap All chains

No single wallet can hold more than 5% of the total supply from a launch. This keeps launches fair and limits whales.

  • The cap is cumulative: your DarkVeil buying and your public buying count together toward the same 5%.
  • It's enforced per wallet key. Nothing on-chain can tell two keys apart from two people, so what DarkVeil's eligibility checks do is make a second wallet harder to qualify, not impossible to hold.
  • The buy widget shows how much of your 5% you've used across the whole launch.

After graduation & safety

What happens when a launch succeeds, and the protections that keep it honest.

Graduation & the 1-year LP lock All chains

A launch graduates when its bonding curve is 100% sold through. There is no partial or early graduation.

  1. At graduation, the LP reserve plus the ADA raised are paired into the launch’s own Noctis Swap pool, which opens at 1.1× the graduation price. Every launch starts here; no other DEX is chosen at creation. The creator earns a 1% royalty on every trade in that pool, for as long as the liquidity is there.
  2. That LP is locked in escrow for 1 year. There is no withdraw function: the liquidity cannot be pulled.
  3. After the lock expires, the liquidity may be moved once, to Minswap or WingRiders. The creator decides this from the Creator Dashboard, or the community wallet does if a takeover vote has passed. Every change is public for 72 hours before it applies. A move never releases the liquidity to a wallet: the new LP goes straight back into the escrow. A launch that never moves stays on Noctis Swap for good.

The creator’s 1% royalty is earned only on Noctis Swap. Minswap and WingRiders have no royalty slot, so a move there ends it. A launch can move only to the DEXes offered when it was minted; a DEX added later is offered to launches minted after it.

Watch the difference between Graduation FDV (fixed at the graduation price) and Current FDV (live DEX price, which can be much higher).

Trade after graduation Cardano

A graduated launch trades on its own Noctis Swap pool, from the Trade panel on its launch page or on noctisswap.zone. If its liquidity has moved to Minswap or WingRiders after the lock, it trades there instead, and the Noctis Swap fees below no longer apply.

  1. Connect your wallet, choose buy or sell and enter an amount. On the launch page, Get a quote shows exactly what you will receive.
  2. Click Swap now and sign. The swap is one transaction against the pool: it pays exactly the amount quoted, or, if another trade reached the pool first, it is refused and nothing leaves your wallet. Quote again and retry. On noctisswap.zone the swap card quotes and swaps in one click.
  3. To wait for a better price instead, place an order on the launch page. It rests until a batcher can fill it at or above your floor, and you can cancel it until then.

Every trade pays the pool fee of 1.2%: 1.0% to the creator, 0.1% to the platform and 0.1% left in the pool. A swap also pays the platform 0.2% of its ADA side, at least 1 ADA and at most 4 ADA, plus a network fee of about 0.3 ADA. An order pays a batcher fee of at most 1.5 ADA instead, and gets back whatever the fill does not spend.

CTO governance (community takeover) All chains

If a creator goes silent, holders can vote to take over the project's fee streams and unvested tokens: a Community TakeOver.

  1. A proposal can be raised at least 90 days after graduation.
  2. Voting runs for 72 hours as a private ballot on Midnight. At least 5% of supply, from at least 15 distinct voters, must participate for the vote to count.
  3. Every voter's weight is capped at 1% of total supply, so no single wallet can push a vote through alone. A balance only counts if it was held at least 30 days before the proposal started.
  4. If yes votes win, the creator’s unclaimed curve fees and the pool royalty go to the community wallet, and the creator’s unvested tokens are frozen. A second vote, at least 90 days later, decides where they go.
  5. The community wallet also takes the creator’s place over the liquidity. After the 1-year lock it may move it once, to Minswap or WingRiders, with 72 hours’ public notice. A takeover does not shorten the lock, and the royalty ends if the liquidity moves.

Already-claimed fees and already-vested tokens are never affected. The creator's own vote is allowed but capped at the same 1% limit as everyone else, and tracked separately for transparency.

Read the ZK Fair Launch Certificate DarkVeil launches

After every DarkVeil phase, a certificate is anchored on Cardano proving the launch was fair, without revealing anyone's identity or amounts.

The certificate publicly confirms:

  • The creator bought 0 tokens during DarkVeil.
  • No wallet exceeded the 5% cap.
  • The total raised and tokens distributed.
  • The correct open and close timestamps.

The certificate never names a wallet or an amount, and while buying is open nobody can see who is buying or how much. A buyer's own wallet and amount become public when they collect their tokens on Cardano, like any Cardano transaction. Browse live certificates and locked LP positions on the Transparency page.
